Christian Zionism and Israel Support

Why is it that Christians

support Israel to such an extent?

I would like to look at this from a historical perspective.

The movement known as Zionism

arose for the establishment of the State of Israel.

Jewish people campaigned very hard for it.

But in fact, even though Jewish capitalists

formed a powerful network to work on this,

things did not go very well,

and that was the reality they faced.

So, in order to gain the support of Christians,

a movement emerged to see if something could be done.

To put it very simply,

here is the situation.

Within Christian Evangelicalism,

the one considered the father of dispensational eschatology

is John Nelson Darby.

He was active from the first half

of the 19th century.

He created his own unique interpretation

of eschatology,

establishing dispensational theology, known as dispensationalism.

He divided human history into seven stages

and thought of it in terms of these stages.

We are currently in the sixth stage,

and ultimately, Jesus will return.

He created this flow of events on his own.

Inheriting the ideas of Nelson Darby,

the person who created the Scofield Reference Bible

was a man named Cyrus Scofield.

This Bible by Cyrus Scofield

was published by Oxford University Press

in 1908.

This man, Scofield,

was just a minister with quite a lot of problematic behavior

and had even been arrested before.

So why was this simple minister

able to produce such a magnificent Bible?

And from such a prestigious publisher, too.

If we look into this, the reason is actually very simple.

When we look at Cyrus Scofield's supporters,

they can be broadly divided into two groups.

One group consists of Christian businessmen...

Like Ryan Stewart in the oil business written here,

or McDo Sano of Torton,

these Christian British businessmen.

Another important thing is

these Zionist leaders.

Zionist leaders, mainly based in America,

were backed by Jewish people,

for example, Bernard Baruch.

He is the very famous Bernard Baruch,

who made a fortune through speculation

and went on to become a presidential advisor,

and then there is the Rothschild agent,

a man named Jacob Schiff,

and the prominent American lawyer, Samuel Untermyer.

By resolving a gossip scandal involving President Wilson,

he reportedly held leverage over him.

That is the powerful lawyer, Samuel Untermyer.

These people provided the funding,

connected networks, and supported Scofield,

and thus, this Bible was created.

This is how the flow went.

In other words, the Scofield Reference Bible in America

was brought into existence by

the network of people behind the scenes.

In other words, Jewish people backed it up,

and in this Christian...

interpretation that for Jesus Christ to return,

the Jewish people must return to the land of Palestine.

By popularizing a Bible in America that incorporated this interpretation,

American evangelicals

felt they had to support Israel and the Jewish people no matter what,

and this Christian evangelical fundamentalism spread rapidly.

In other words, since Judaism alone could not establish Israel,

in order to draw support from Christianity,

Jewish people used their money and wisdom

to popularize this Bible.

This is the reason why Christian evangelicals rapidly multiplied in America.

Netanyahu actually uses this Scofield Reference Bible too,

and is intentionally using those Evangelicals for Israel's benefit.

So, in other words, from Israel's perspective,

they are politically exploiting the Evangelicals.

And they keep them tied to their support.

That is what they are doing.

Unless we trace this history of Christian Zionism,

I believe we cannot understand this current fanatical support for Israel among fundamentalists.

And that's where the 70 million yen comes in, right?
