Discussion on Maradona and Grondona
Did they get to Maradona?
Well, we don't have proof. What he says is the truth.
Forget about it, they promoted the World Cup with Maradona and then they took him out.
We were champions, we could beat anyone.
But do you think Grondona was complicit in that?
After watching the Brazil-Italy final, we could beat anyone.
Do you think Grondona was complicit in that? Yes, absolutely.
Did you suspect Grondona betrayed Maradona? Absolutely. No, we didn't suspect.
We talked about it internally with Diego,
with the whole group, because we spent every night, as long as Diego was there,
we spent every night in the room with Diego.
Diego cried every night, every day, and we were all together.
But the group is right, it changed and...
He was sad, we were sad.
We were sad because they knew they were taking away a guy who, for us,
was fundamental. They handed him over, something happened, they traded, I don't know.
They handed over Maradona?

Llegaron a Maradona? Bueno, no tenemos pruebas.
Total. No, no sospechábamos.
Entregaron, algo pasó, intercambiaron, no sé qué. Entregaron a Maradona?
