Critique of Political Leadership and Ideology

Aren't you the victors?

Didn't you prevail through religion? Didn't you say

that the next stop was Jerusalem?

Then the occupier of Jerusalem advanced on you

and settled in Daraa and Hauran,

and now he has drinking water, buildings, and sheep,

two-year-old sheep, and grazing cattle, day after day,

while you watch

and say nothing,

then claim to follow the way of the pious predecessors.

Would Umar and Abu Bakr accept this way of yours?

A way of singing and lying.

If you were weak, we would excuse you,

but you have a state, ministers,

and a glorious revolution.

You said that you

defeated Russia and Iran

and the hypocrites and charlatans. You said

that, and that you had defeated all of them. So why,

after you were victorious,

did you become burrowing rats,

followers of disbelief?

Is there not one sensible man among you?

Is there no one among you ashamed before God's majesty?
