Iran does not

seek to spread the Iranian orientation

or the Shia orientation among Muslims.

Iran follows the path of defending the Quran

and the Sunnah and reviving the Islamic nation.

The Islamic Revolution believes

that helping the mujahideen from among the Sunni in the Hamas and Jihad

organizations and the Shia mujahideen in Hezbollah and Amal is

a religious duty and a divine obligation, without any distinction

between this side and that. And the government of Iran declares,

in a loud and decisive voice,

that it believes in the rise of peoples, not in terrorism,

and in the unity of Muslims,

not in sectarian domination and strife, and in Islamic brotherhood,

not in nationalist and racist arrogance, and in Islamic jihad,

not in violence toward the other, and it is committed to that, God willing.

Brothers and sisters, for years they have been directing lies at you about your

Iranian brothers,

and the truth about the Iran of Islam

is this that I am explaining to you.

They speak about Iranian and Shia expansion,

while we have never considered

the Islamic Revolution to be, at all, purely Shia or nationalist and Iranian,

and we will never consider it so.

Never. The resistance equation in the region has changed with the help of the

Islamic Republic,

and the stone in the hand of the Palestinians

has risen to become a rocket in answer to the rocket.

The West is offering you two models:

takfiri Islam

and secular Islam,

and it will keep waving these before you

so that fundamental, moderate,

rational Islam does not grow strong.

Amid the region’s revolutions, be pessimistic about the Islam

that Washington, London, and Paris demand,

whether of the Westernized secular kind

or of the rigid and violent kind.

Do not trust an Islam

that can tolerate the Zionist entity

yet faces other Islamic sects

without mercy,

and extends a hand of reconciliation to America and NATO

yet at home deliberately ignites tribal and sectarian wars.

Behind this Islam, who are they? Harsh toward the believers, merciful to the

disbelievers.

Be pessimistic about American and British Islam,

for it drives you into the idolatry of Western

capitalism and the consumerist spirit and moral depravity.
