Pokémon Story of the Cursed Treasures

It was.

One day, a merchant from the east

came to the castle and showed four treasures

to the king.

Delighted, the king gave him much gold

and obtained the treasures.

That night, above the castle,

a cocoon suddenly appeared, and

a storm raged,

and hail began to fall.

The storm became a tornado

and broke the castle walls, lifting up the four

treasures.

Amid the storm, earth wrapped around the vessel,

ice around the sword, fire around

the jewel, and leaves around the wooden

tablets, and then

the treasures transformed into four Pokémon.

They burst out of the castle and began

wreaking havoc throughout Paldea.

The people whose homes,

villages, and fields had been devastated by the Pokémon

descended on the castle.

Panicked, the king

sent the castle soldiers after them.

But the four Pokémon were vicious

and violent, and everyone

was driven away.

The king was at his wits' end.

Then he heard a rumor that, from a distant land,

a very powerful Pokémon

Trainer had come

to the kingdom.

So he

summoned that person to the castle

and asked them to defeat the four.

The Pokémon Trainer took their partner Pokémon

and headed for the four

Pokémon.

The battle lasted three days and three nights,

and at last, they were able

to defeat the four Pokémon.

The Pokémon Trainer

said, "Those four

were born from the curse of the treasures.

So that they may never return to life,

they should be sealed away."

And so, the king built a large

shrine.

Since then, the four have never

awakened,

and peace came to Paldea.
