Background of the legend

Bearing the honor of merit,

they returned with dignity and were embraced.

The Respected Supreme Commander,

the fighters of the National Defense Corps,

the benevolent image of the Supreme Commander

enshrined in their hearts,

with the spirit of absolute loyalty and absolute obedience,

even as they liberated countless territories,

carried out the Party’s orders!

Even if they could not set foot again on

the beloved land of the Motherland,

into the Motherland’s warm soil

the sons who wished to be laid to rest

in the embrace they longed for at home,

who laid their souls to rest,

that unforgettable night,

obeying the Motherland’s order,

ranged across the bloody battlefields of foreign lands,

though those figures were unseen,

the proud report of victory presented to

Motherland

was being fervently

borne upon the national flag.

From a faraway foreign land,

along the Motherland’s road of thousands of miles,

the warriors came draped in

the flag of the Republic,

guarding its dignity and splendor.

Though life was short,

for the Motherland and the revolution,

facing even death without fear,
