My dear compatriots, protecting Iran’s cultural and natural heritage,

is a national and everlasting duty for all of us. This duty, in the

current situation, has become more important than ever before.

Because there is a concern that opportunists may exploit the revolutionary

situation of the country, or any possible unrest, until the stabilization of

the national government on the day after the overthrow, and seek to plunder,

destroy, or seize Iran’s national heritage. Unfortunately,

we experienced examples of such events in the year 1358,

when a significant part of Iran’s natural landscapes and

historical monuments suffered damage and destruction.

I ask you, for

the protection of the country’s cultural heritage and environment, to join the

Iran Heritage Unit in the Javidan Guard. The mandate of this unit is

very simple. Each of you, wherever you are in Iran, should form a local

organization, even a small one,

with your friends and acquaintances Protecting a national asset that you

believe may be under threat, should be organized.

Our compatriots abroad can also help by contributing to potential costs or

by spreading information and raising awareness for this unit and join it and take

part in this national effort.

I too, as an Iranian, will join the Iran Heritage Unit.

This unit is not limited only

to revolutionary conditions, but it can, within the framework of an

inclusive structure, become a permanent institution for the care and

protection of Iran’s national heritage.

Let us remember that whatever we do is for Iran. Iran is everything we have.

And safeguarding its cultural and

natural heritage is a pledge we have made with the self- sacrificing martyrs of

the Lion and Sun Revolution.
