This day too, I grabbed a drink after work.

First off, starting with the always reliable beer.

Beer after work really hits the spot, right?

Today I came to a yakitori place.

A place that serves grated daikon like this is always a great yakitori joint, right?

And my dog next to me just started coughing a bit, but

I am eating yakitori.

This was crunchy, the texture was fun, and it was really delicious.

My face is not showing it at all, but it was truly delicious.

For my second drink, I had shochu.

I drank this for the first time.

It was shochu, but it had a spicy flavor.

It was good, but for my third drink I switched to my usual lemon sour.

With lemon sours, I love it when you get a big wedge of lemon stuck in there rather than just liqueur.

This is my finishing dish, egg over rice.

It does not look that appetizing in this shot, but

it was insanely good.

The eggs they use for egg over rice at yakitori places are different from the others, right?

It was so tasty and perfect for wrapping up the meal.

I am going “aah” and opening my mouth, but

now for the last one—what number is this—my fourth drink was shochu.

It tasted kind of like Kanehachi, but it was super strong.

It was rich and strong, and it was the best.
