In Korattur, Chennai,

at a cost of about 2500 crore rupees after 2036 apartment units were built and sold,

a court order has now come stating that it is temple land,

and saying that the company cheated

them by constructing and giving them homes on temple land,

an incident where members of the public gathered at the entrance of the DGP office,

carrying banners and lodging a complaint, has created a stir.

They say they bought houses paying

from 50 lakh up to 5 crore rupees and are now left standing out on the street,

and that 2036 families are left in a helpless state,

for which they have lodged a complaint at the DGP office. Not only that,

they have also come to that office located in Kotturpuram and are

currently engaged in a siege protest. In Ambattur taluk, in the Korattur area,

on the three survey numbers 589, 590, and 591, This apartment complex called

Orchid Spring stands on fifteen acres of land. Two thousand thirty- six families are

living here.

They say they bought them paying from fifty lakh up to five crore rupees,

and that the flats were sold saying CMDA and DTCP planning approvals would be fully

obtained and given, but recently, as per a court order,

saying that these flats have been built on land belonging to Sri Karapathra

Sivaprakasa Swamigal Sannidhi Mutt,

the Sub- Registrar has blocked all registrations and mortgage transactions,

banks are refusing to give loans,

and with no chance for resale they are forced to keep paying EMIs,

they have filed a complaint saying they are in a situation of severe crisis.

Action must be taken against the deceptive Alliance Projects company.

And they say that action must also be taken against those who colluded with them,

and they have also made a request that,

even though they have now bought it with their own money,

they should not be treated like encroachers.

They have lodged a complaint about that at the DGP office.

They are currently in sit- in protest at their office in Kotturpuram.
