Excessive love for two things is dangerous.

One is a child; the other is wealth.

Whoever loves wealth excessively gets into trouble because of it.

Whoever loves a child excessively, 1,001 troubles follow and manifest because of that child.

For one of Allah’s names is al-Raqib.

He does not like His believing servant to love any being more than Him.

He wards this off with a manifestation of Majesty.
