Hi, dear. My friend and I got into a very tough situation; there are two of us left from the group: me and Valchik.

We get in touch with the commander, ask to be allowed to refuse; he won't grant it and says if we fall back, he'll personally kill us.

So my friend and I decided to turn off the radio, toss our rifles, and try to surrender to the Plen group.

But we're alive — we're not KIA, not WIA, not 500s; we just have no other option left, only one option: to surrender, that's all.
