School Evacuation Drill Analysis
On October 23, at Primary School No. 10 named after
the Tomaszów Olympians in Tomaszów, demonstration evacuation drills
related to an aerial threat were held.
Their purpose was not only to test the preparedness of one school, but above
all to show the principals of the other Tomaszów schools what, in practice,
actions should look like in a threat situation.
These are extremely important exercises, because the participants,
apart from the participating children,
teachers, support staff and school administration, were observed by
the principals of other schools and the Tomaszów institution, so that,
so that they could
have, as it were, a basis for how to
organize their evacuation procedures,
their procedures for responding to crisis situations
and not make mistakes, because it is better to learn from others' mistakes
than from your own. However, it must be said today
that the exercises
were very well prepared. There are certainly some comments.
Certain adjustments will certainly be made.
Thanks to the fact that they were also attended by
representatives of the municipal
services, such as the commander of the State Fire
Service,
volunteer fire brigades,
representatives of the police in Tomaszów Mazowiecki, as well as the municipal police.
All of this is primarily meant to bring us, meant to bring us closer to creating such a system
of safety in the city so that the residents of Tomaszów Mazowiecki,
and especially
the youngest ones, can feel safe.
I now have another question concerning m-modulated signals,
because even adults have some trouble distinguishing
those signals. Could you remind us how they differ?
What should we pay attention to when we hear such a signal?
An alarm signal is a modulated three-minute signal. It lasts three minutes.
It is easy to distinguish it here. Whereas the signal concerning
the all-clear is a continuous, uniform signal.
So here, it is unambiguous in terms of understanding.
An information campaign is currently underway in the city, so we have
posters displayed in various places and facilities throughout the
city, intended to provide information, information for
the public about what these signals are and how to
behave in different
situations.
There has been a lot of talk, and still is, about the recommendations of the
Ministry of
Education, and many parents reacted quite
with great concern at the news that they would not be able to pick up from school during
the course
of the alarm their chi— their child.
But I think that today, a very important statement was made,
that these parents can come and stay with
that child.
These parents can come and stay with that child, but what is most important?
These parents must
be certain that their children are safe,
perhaps safer than they themselves are at that moment.
Safety at the facility is ensured by the principal.
Parents must be aware that the management
of the facility bears full responsibility for the children during the alarm.
Until it is called off and the principal makes a decision, all children are under
the care of the staff, teachers, and the principal,
who alone can authorize the children's pickup.
The children remain at the facility from start to finish.
If the parents were to arrive, the children may join the others, but
they will not go outside.
After the exercise, a substantive debriefing was conducted.
Among other things, they analyzed the organization of staff activities, the accessibility
of routes, movement, the way information is communicated, and
the effectiveness of the solutions adopted.
The conclusions from this analysis will provide guidance for the other schools.

On trwa trzy minuty. Łatwo go tutaj rozróżnić.
