John McAfee's Paranoia and Mind Games
Este tipo era un genio. Me sometió a pruebas.
y dice: «Oye,
eres el único en quien confío». Aunque no sea verdad, me escribe:
Bueno, esa noche
Bueno, esa noche
ves?». Y este tipo había sido ex-Ranger o
lo que fuera. Agarró los binoculares, y miró. Dice: «Sí, sí,
lo veo.
Son luces parpadeantes». John McAfee dice: «Lo ves, ¿verdad?». «Sí, son luces
parpadeantes».
Y dice: «Lo veo». Entonces John McAfee me mira,
y dice: «Echa un
vistazo. ¿Las ves?». Y miro, y no puedo ver nada, Sean.
¿Sabes a qué
me refiero?
Y, hombre,
pensé: "¿Sabes qué? Me van a despedir, pero yo,
yo simplemente voy a decir la
verdad. Voy a ser totalmente sincero". Y entonces fui totalmente directo: "Señor,
le creo, pero no veo luces.
No las veo". Y él dijo: "¿Me estás tomando el pelo?
¿Me estás jodiendo...?" Dice: "Están justo ahí". Y yo dije: "Señor,
lo sé.
Yo, yo simplemente no las veo". Al día siguiente
sale con un sobre de
dinero.
Me dice: «Ve a despedirlo». Me dice:
«No había ninguna luz». Me dice: «Buen trabajo». Volvió a entrar.
grandes juegos mentales
con todos.

This guy was a genius. He put me through tests. What kind of tests? Uh, he put the, the very first night, um, remember they're, they're, they're moving around, they're playing this crypto
market, talking about making money with their pistols on, drinking, it's loud. Who are these other guys? Some of them are e- e- ex-Green Berets, Rangers.
Uh, i- i- I think maybe a couple of them lied about their, their background. Um, they said they were whatever, and I was like, "Yeah, okay." And they don't know who I am, and John McAfee texts me on my phone
and says, "Hey, you're the only one I trust." Even if it's not true, he texts me, "You're the only one I trust. I don't trust anybody. I don't even trust my own wife, Janice." He goes, "Um, uh,
I need you to be my eyes and ears." And that's what he tells me outside as well. Well, that night I wake up, and I go to bed with my pistol on my side
right here. Not my finger on the trigger, but on my, with my, loosely holding this, that .40 Shield. And I wake up, and I see this, like, demon standing over me, like on the bed, and it's John McAfee staring down on me, straddle me with his feet on the
bed, and I'm, like, sunken in. What the hell? Yeah, and he's like, he's, like, looking down at me, and I have my, and I have that gun, and I point it at him like, "I'm gonna kill this guy." And he's like,
"Are you with me, son? Are you with me?" And I'm like, "I'm with you, sir." He goes, "Let's go." He jumped off the bed. We went upstairs. We stare out this, this glass, this, at this window at night,
and we're staring out into the night, and there's, um... He says, "Do you see it?" And everybody's like, "Where? Where? Where?" And he's got binoculars at night, uh, and he's just, we're staring there for, like, you know, the snipers, you can
sit there behind glass forever, but it's, it's freaking boring, terribly boring. And, uh, but John McAfee, he says, "Do you see it?" to a guy. And this guy was an ex-Ranger or whatever. He grabbed the binoculars, and he looked. He goes, "Yeah, yeah, I see it.
It's flashing lights." John McAfee says, "You see it, right?" "Yeah, it's flashing lights." And he goes, "I see it." And then John McAfee looks at me, and he goes, "Take a look. You see 'em?" And I'm looking, and I can't see anything, Sean.
And I, and I just, I know that nothing's there, and, but everything in my body tells me, "Just say, 'Yeah. Yeah, I see the lights too.'" You know what I mean? Because you could tell guys were playing off of his paranoia,
his paranoia. And man, I thought, "You know what? I'm gonna get fired, but I'm, I'm just gonna tell the truth. I'm just gonna be straight up." And so I just straight up was like, "Sir,
I believe you, but I don't see lights. I don't." And he was like, "Are you fucking kidding me? Are you fuck..." He goes, "They're right there." And I said, "Sir, I know. I, I just don't see them." The next day he
comes out with an envelope of cash. I can see envelope in the opening, and I know that it's for me, to fire me. He, he, because I know I'm done after that, 'cause it's real awkward. He walks outside,
he hands me this envelope of cash, and he goes, "Go give this to that guy that said there was a light out there last night." He goes, "Go fire him." He goes, "There was no light." He goes, "Good job." He walked back in. And I knew right then and there he was playing
major head games with everybody.
