Analysis of Lamín's World Cup Performance
And Lamín? I'm asking you about Lamín, because we were all asking him for goals.
He has shone in a different way.
What did you see in him, how did you manage him throughout this World Cup, his first World Cup?
How did you see him and how do you see him for the future?
Well, I am absolutely delighted and happy with Lamín's performance,
for many reasons, because I think it's going to be
a qualitative leap in his training, in his growth as a footballer.
He is already a top-tier footballer,
fantastic, but he is 19 years old,
he has to keep growing, maturing,
and this World Cup must have served him to also learn,
which he probably already knew,
but he has had to put it into practice in an extreme way as well,
that other part of a different kind of football,
of sacrificing effort to benefit the team, of being very unselfish, which he is.
I mean, all those values he has,
putting them at the service of the team, and he's done it in a very natural way
and he understood that it was what was good for the team.
That will make him greater,
it will make him a better player for the future, for sure.
