Founding of Princess Nora University

I conducted a comprehensive study and we went to King Abdullah may God

forgive him and have mercy on him.

And— I gave him the report, and he just said,

"Where's the land? There is no land."

Dr. Khalid Al-Anqari replied, "I'll show you how

our leaders respect one another. This is a king,

he could take this entire building, and no one would tell him no."

Dr. Khalid Al-Anqari said, "Your Highness, there is land

on the airport road. We could allocate a portion

of it

to the university."

He said, "By God, that's a good idea, but I

can't. I have to ask Prince Sultan's permission because

it belongs to the airport, the Ministry of Defense, and Prince

Sultan. We can't overstep our bounds."

And he's the king, he could order him. I went to Prince Sultan, may God

have mercy on him. The response that surprised me was,

"King Abdullah asks my permission? King Abdullah orders me and my children around."

This mutual respect is what we learn from,

how

the young respect the old,

and how the old don't wrong the young, even if they are older

than them. These are real-life lessons I wanted

I pass it on to my daughters and granddaughters. How was Princess

Noura University established? They gave us eight million square

meters.

Three million square meters were built, and the rest

is because I designed the plan for the next 40 years,

God willing.
