and documents,

as cases in which the government could not determine the nature of the phenomena.

Among these is footage captured by a U.S. military infrared camera around Japan in

January 2023, and in connection with the release of this footage,

was there prior notice from the U.S. government to the Japanese government,

and also, Minister, have you watched this footage, or from the perspective of

national security, do you plan to watch it? Also, one more point,

this time’s so- called

UFO disclosure is in line with President Trump’s instruction in

February to disclose information on extraterrestrial life and UFOs,

and will be released sequentially going forward.

This is being reported not only in the United States but also here in Japan,

on almost every TV channel and so on, centered on television,

and under the leadership of Prime Minister Takaichi and

Chief Cabinet Secretary Kihara, I would like to hear your thoughts on instructing

the Ministry of Defense and others to make similar disclosures. Yes. I am aware

with regard to incidents affecting our nation’s security,

including unidentified objects in the air, we are,

with a high level of concern and in close coordination with the

United States and others,

conducting ongoing information collection and analysis on a regular basis.

As for our exchanges with the United States,

including whether there was any prior sharing of information,

I will refrain from commenting on each and every detail. The government intends to

continue collecting and analyzing information on such incidents. As for making

information public, Um, well, this is because we are considering,

among other things,

whether our own information- gathering capabilities might be revealed,

and after comprehensively taking into account various perspectives,

we plan to make judgments on a case- by-
