A lot has been said about Cristiano Ronaldo, about the captain's influence
on this national team. My question is, with Francisco
Conceição being considered one of the biggest game-changers, the live wire,
as
the coach says, if you on the pitch feel a
constant temptation to always look for Cristiano Ronaldo to score and decide the game,
even if at times that might not be the best option, considering the
team's positioning.
No, I think that, uh, Cristiano,
with his goalscoring quality, I think there is no,
there is no one like him in this
regard. Uh, and we don't have that obligation,
that need to pass him the ball.
I, for example, speak for myself, I pass the ball to whoever is,
to whoever I think
is more open at that moment.
It's not that I have time to think about who is there, what the face of the teammate
next to me is, no. Uh, I think we do everything on instinct,
we do
everything, it's thousandths of a second, no, there's no time for that.
Uh, and of course Cristiano is here to
help, like any other player on the
national team.
