Concerns Over Public Transport Safety

A very large group of Arab drivers in public transportation

are causing daily terror all over the country.

I'm not saying it's all the drivers from the Arab sector,

but I think 99% of them give a bad name to the good one percent.

These are drivers who don't stop at stations,

who drive on Dizengoff at 100 kilometers per hour.

One girl has already been killed.

Who brake hard so that people will fall,

talking on the phone the whole ride, turning on

the AC in winter, turning on the heat in summer,

ignoring motorcycles, ignoring other cars,

deliberately skipping stations,

driving aggressively while honking in crowded streets.

People get on the bus in the morning and don't know if they'll end up in Ichilov Hospital.

They don't know if they'll arrive in one piece.

The Ministry of Transportation and the bus companies must start kicking dangerous drivers off the road.

This is daily terror that lowers the quality of life

for everyone who needs public transportation.

It's time for the police and the Shin Bet to step in and look out for the citizens of the Jewish state,

to kick these drivers out of our lives.

I use public transportation and I know how they brake

and I know how they drive

and I know how much they shout into the phone during the ride

and talk at the top of their lungs, make no mistake,

it's daily terror in the midst of hatred

They are experts at lying, rolling their eyes and acting cute.

They aren't—you know what?

And on the buses, they don't even pretend to be cute.
