I will say this, that— Imam Sadiq, peace and blessings be upon him,

said,“ Whoever dies with love for the family of Muhammad dies a martyr.”

Whoever dies in the love of the family of Muhammad, dies a martyr. And

those who die while walking outside in the bazaar are martyrs, and

those who are in the state of prostration……

for them God has kept an incomparable reward. The history of Shiism

bears witness that we have always carried funeral processions……

and we have continued to carry funeral processions. Mutilated corpses,

from Karbala to this day up to Tarlai, have reached us.

For its prevention we have always spoken to the government,

we have never taken up arms ourselves. Even today, after this incident,

we will appeal to the government of the time that the criminals be

brought to justice.

Where death passes by a month earlier, people do not pass through that street.

Yesterday from here seventy, up to seventy casualties occurred, and……

up to two hundred people are such who have serious injuries.

Those who survived are hardly better than not surviving. Yet still, such a huge

gathering coming to a funeral……

this is proof that there are not as many people living in the name of Yazid……

as there are those dying in the name of Husayn. Imam Husayn, peace be upon him,

granted us life through his wounds… …

in Husayn’s grief there is life for us, and he had no crime,

his only“ crime” was“ Ali is the friend of Allah.”

If this is a crime, then this is the unanimous decision of this nation,

after so many funerals… …

that this crime will keep being committed by us.

We will go on dying and fading away in the name of Ali ibn Abi Talib.

Do not think that we were afraid of your blasts,

this oppression against the mourners has happened before too.
