Iran's Maritime Agreement and Regional Tensions

Why is this agreement regarding a temporary route

for the Strait of Hormuz now being linked with other conditions that were

not included, at least in this agreement, which is somewhat separate from

the Washington- Tehran agreement?

First of all, greetings to you, Maria, and to your esteemed viewers.

I believe the Iranian regime is in a state of, you know, confusion in

its statements, and also in the statements between diplomacy

and the field.

The issue now is not the temporary route or the permanent route, but rather what

is happening on the ground.

Today, the Iranian regime is talking about closing the northern part towards the

Iranian island of Larak, and also the southern part towards the Sultanate of Oman,

and having a waterway located in Iranian waters for transit,

so that the Iranian regime can supervise the passage of ships

and control the ships crossing the strait or entering it.

On the other hand, the talk about the agreement between the Sultanate of

Oman and Iran and that the United States of America is

involved in it.
