Analysis of PSG vs Manchester City Match

Pep Guardiola is standing here, talking to someone about PSG's pressing on

Manchester City. He's saying, "Look at how PSG press." Because PSG, at

the heart of the Etihad, were pressing man-to-man all over the

pitch. Pep is pointing to PSG's players pressing and saying that

they're leaving Haaland one-on-one. And it's very bold of Luis

they're leaving Haaland one-on-one. And it's very bold of Luis

Enrique to leave Haaland one-on-one, to leave Doku against Marquinhos one-on-one.

But he did that because he knew City had

Donnarumma, Donnarumma, whom Luis Enrique probably got rid of because of the build-up play aspect.

So there were clear, explicit instructions for Dembélé and all the

players

at PSG. As soon as the ball goes to Donnarumma, press him

continuously.

Never leave him alone, and keep pressing him, like the clips you can see

in front of you now. Look at the clip in front of you now, two players

immediately

when Donnarumma receives it. We'll press immediately because PSG

With man-to-man pressing, they can outplay Manchester City.

And don't tell me Haaland or Doku, one- on-one. You won't be able to anyway.

Get them the ball. A full episode is on my channel, go watch it.
