And I congratulate you on organizing this summit for Sudan's neighbors

And as we have presented on more than one occasion, our vision and our support for this initiative

We consider this a timely opportunity for Sudanese and for the Sudanese people

With the assistance of its neighbors to find an exit from this quagmire that it entered without any justification

And we see in this initiative basic principles based on respect for Sudan's sovereignty

and Sudan's independence and the existence of a suitable climate for the Sudanese people so they can move to safety

The transition to safety requires a plan, requires effort, and requires assistance

Regarding this initiative, ultimately its goal will be to secure an appropriate environment for the Sudanese people

which will be the final word in overcoming this situation

All neighboring countries should help the Sudanese people so they can resolve their problems

No external interventions, and no internal interventions that allow internal parties to involve external actors and complicate matters

This is an initial opportunity to form a group to secure the situation in Sudan so that all neighboring countries may enjoy stability and cooperate with the Sudanese.

Securing this environment means preventing foreign interventions under any name or pretext.

Labels like “humanitarian,” or even military interventions intended to inflame the border must be included.

There is a need to put an end to all of these things.

This initiative is a good one, but it is only the start of a very long journey.

Because the transition from the Sudanese people's current situation to safety

will take effort, will take time, and will require resources.

As I said and as I outlined in the introduction, there must be a clear mechanism.

One with practical benchmarks, and then the pooling of resources to support this initiative among neighboring countries.

So that the Sudanese people can benefit from the capabilities available in all neighboring countries.

And without external interventions, Sudan’s neighboring countries have the capacity and ability

to create space and also to contribute to securing the transition.

The focus should not be solely on the situation as it exists right now.

A situation that has no justification, in our view here and in the view of many.

That there is no justification for the war in Sudan.

What is needed now is to give the Sudanese people a chance.

And under a distant regime that has devastated Sudan politically, socially, economically, and in terms of security.

Sudan must move into a situation that helps secure stability in the country.

And then influence the neighboring countries.

From this standpoint, I say this initiative is a good one.

It must have long-term staying power; its objectives must be clear.

There should be effective and practical mechanisms.

And the readiness of neighboring countries, given the history of the region.

The history of the region we live in is unique.

And this will serve as a model for solutions elsewhere in the region.

The problems in the Horn of Africa, the problems in the Red Sea,

the problems in the African neighborhood, the problems in the north,

will depend greatly on what results from this initiative.

It is to secure the conditions for the Sudanese people to overcome them.

And once again I thank Your Excellency and I thank all the efforts

that have been made in this field, and I affirm that this commitment is a natural one.

And this natural platform must continue and ultimately succeed.

And I am sure that success will be the ally of this initiative.
