For the reasons stated, this Constitutional Chamber

of the Supreme Tribunal of Justice, administering justice

in the name of the Republic and by authority of the law, decides: First:

to take up ex officio

or to exercise its

function of constitutional interpretation

ex officio of articles

234 and 239 of the Constitution of the Bolivarian Republic

y 239 de la Constitución de la República Bolivariana de Venezuela, a los fines

of determining

the applicable legal regime

to guarantee the continuity of the State, the management of government and

the defense of sovereignty

in the face of the forced absence

of the President of the Republic. All of this in accordance

with articles

266.1, 335 and

336.10 of the Constitution of the Bolivarian Republic

de la Constitución de la República Bolivariana de Venezuela, y del artículo 5

of the Organic Law of the Supreme Tribunal of Justice.

Second: It is ordered

that the citizen

Delcy Eloí Rodríguez Gómez, Executive Vice President of

the Republic, shall assume and exercise

in the capacity of acting official

all the powers, duties and authorities

inherent to the office

of President of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela,

in order to guarantee

the continuity

of administration

and the comprehensive

defense of the Nation. Third: It is ordered that notification be given

immediately

to the citizen Executive Vice President, to the National Defense Council,

to the High Military Command

and to the National Assembly. Be it notified
