Indeed, Sonia, Doha has, over the last few hours, intensified these

contacts with various

parties and regional countries. The most prominent contact was,

of course, with the party directly concerned with this escalation, Iran,

with the Iranian Foreign Minister.

The contact was between the Prime Minister and Qatari Foreign Minister and the

Iranian Foreign Minister. In this call, they discussed developments and the

latest results of Pakistani efforts to reach a solution

and preventing the region from sliding once again into an escalation military,

as happened in the past.

This is in addition to the Strait of Hormuz issue, which directly concerns Qatar,

especially with the disruption of energy supplies, as well as the countries of

the region in general and global energy security.

These are the most prominent points discussed during the phone

call between Doha and Tehran. There were also contacts with regional

countries in

the region, and this

reflects that the region has reached a highly sensitive moment in this

escalation crisis between Tehran and Washington. The language of the statements was

specifically joint ones, as they focused on

developments, or discussing the developments of the current crisis, in addition to

urging the need to respond to the current Pakistani efforts

between Washington and Tehran and also supporting them, containing the

escalation and preventing the expansion of the confrontation, in addition to

the necessity of continuing freedom of navigation in the Strait of Hormuz.

In general, these

contacts with each of

Qatar, Egypt, Turkey, Oman, Iran, and

Saudi Arabia reflect a clear concern, whether for Doha,

which has not stopped supporting the path of Pakistani efforts, or for the rest

of the regional countries, that the region might slide again into a military

confrontation that might impose a sharp military alignment this time.
