Post-match analysis of World Cup exit
Pepe, it hurts a lot to leave the World Cup this way, when we were almost there and didn't make it.
Today, it seems the game was difficult, with the players unable to play the football they normally do.
No, we were always on top of the game, we conceded a goal when we didn't expect it.
But I have to say this, it's stronger than me.
It's unacceptable for an Argentine referee to referee our game here today.
After what happened yesterday, with Messi talking, all of Argentina talking, and an Argentine referee comes and referees.
I'm not saying he comes here biased, I'm not saying he comes here biased.
But well, the second half, what did we play in the second half?
We didn't play at all, their goalkeeper, non-stop, and he only gave eight minutes of added time.
We work seriously, we work very seriously. At the World Cup, a referee gives eight minutes of added time
when we didn't play at all, we didn't play at all in the second half, nothing.
The only team playing football was us, Portugal.
Now, what can we do? We are sad, we had the quality to win the World Cup, unfortunately we didn't.
