The Importance of Patience in Leadership

He said," I chose the path of patience," the path of patience,

because that was in the best interest of Muslims.

The Imam does not act on the basis of" I have a right" or" I don't have a right."

You do have a right,

شو بتعمل؟

You remain patient. In the end, there is sometimes a period

بالنهاية في فترة زمنية أحياناً

of time in which we are required to endure,

ما هو ما كل شيء بيجي هيك.

فالإمام سلام الله تعالى عليه

was patient for 25 years after the death of the Messenger of God,

حتى تسلم الخلافة كخليفة رابع.

And under the banner and principle that patience is what is required at this stage,

this is greatness, this is true greatness. I mean, while the Imam was patient to

يعني هو وصابر الإمام بهالمستوى،

this extent, the Imam of the nation, the leader of the nation, appointed by God,

as announced by the Prophet,

بس في معطيات مادية عملية

requiring him to act with wisdom according to the circumstances, so he was patient.

He was stronger in patience than he was in fighting, because patience

always carries a higher cost, and yet, he remained patient.

ومع ذلك هو صبر،

But the result was that he established governance and provided a pioneering model

وأعطى تجربة العدالة الرائدة.

of justice. Lady Zaynab, peace be upon her,

What immense patience! Were it not for the patience of Lady Zaynab,

لولا صبر السيدة زينب عليها السلام

these great banners of Imam Hussein, peace be upon him,

would not have been raised after his martyrdom in this manner and with this

greatness. Why? Because there is a

difference between the martyrdom of Imam Hussein, peace be upon him,

taking place while Lady Zaynab is exhausted, devastated,

the family in a difficult situation, and the Muslims in a difficult situation,

والمسلمين بوضع صعب عم يندبوا حظهم.

وبين إنها توقف قدام ابن زياد وتقول:

I saw nothing but beauty." God is greatest.

الله أكبر.

This requires patience in this difficult situation with these

بهالوضع الصعب

murderous criminals. But this" I saw nothing but beauty" is what was immortalized

لكن هاي "ما رأيت إلا جميلاً" هي اللي تخلدت بالتاريخ

in history, and it is what carried the banner, and it is what

created this path for us along with the approach of Imam Hussein, peace be upon him,

مع نهج الإمام الحسين عليه السلام

and the sacrifices of Karbala. So the matter is related to the impact of

فالموضوع إله علاقة بأثر هذا الصبر

this patience in reaching this outcome.
