Discussion on Toy Characters and Voice Acting

For me, I guess it's my wife.

For me, it has to be our group's captain.

The captain right now is

Satsuki Sugawara, who is from my same generation,

and she is serving in that role.

But having said that, just this May

she was newly appointed,

so it's only been about one or two months,

and not even that much time has passed.

But she really seems like a reliable peer,

and I think she is someone we can depend on.

The character I played,

a toy named Atlas,

is originally a map

toy,

and because of its nature

as a map, there are some incredibly

important scenes for him,

and he is a reliable character.

He is reliable, but

he also has a bit of a playful side,

and that sense of balance is

really great.

He's like a best friend,

that's the kind of character he is.

The part of him that is like me

is that he can remember routes.

I think we are alike in that way.

I think I'm good at remembering maps.

My sense of direction...

I have a good sense of direction.

The character Snappy, whom I had the privilege of playing,

is a very

cute character,

with a child-like, pure,

and straightforward

perspective, I think.

That's what I felt,

and the childhood version of me was a bit...

I felt deeply moved by those feelings

as I worked on creating the character.

But when it comes to Snappy and me,

I don't think we are actually

that similar, to be honest.

I'm not as bright

and cheerful

of a character as Snappy is,

so I wonder if we have little in common.

That's what I thought,

but there is one thing.

Since I belong to

Nogizaka46,

my feelings toward my fellow members,

to begin with...

I believe I won't lose to anyone, so in that sense, I think my inner Snappy is coming out.

I was really surprised.

Also, because of the character Snappy,

he held a camera backstage as part of a campaign and took a lot of photos of me.

When we started that campaign, it was just me and Mr. Inoue on set,

so I think he was handed a camera and told to take lots of photos,

but since there was only me to shoot, I felt bad.

He was so kind, and even though he took so many photos,

he kept taking lovely photos of me,

and there are tons of photos I want people to use,

so I'd really love to share them with everyone.
