Since I became Muslim, the question I get asked more than anything is, why Islam though? I don't get it. Why Islam? All these people need to understand is Islam just means submission to God. It's not like Christianity where it's named after Jesus Christ. Peace and blessings be upon him. Islam just means submission to God.
Allah is God in Arabic. And being a Muslim just means it's someone who submits their will to God. It's monotheism. And as Muslims, we follow the teachings of all the prophets prior to Muhammad. And that includes Jesus, Moses, Adam, Abraham, David.
All of the prophets previously, we follow their teaching of monotheism. And that there is one God. There is no God but God. There is no deity but Allah. Allah again means God.
The reason we use the Arabic language is because the Quran was sent to us in Arabic. And it was preserved in Arabic. Because if you look at Christianity, the religion has changed so much due to translations. The earliest translations of Christianity and the Bible, the Gospels, is in Greek. Which they never spoke in those times in Palestine.
They spoke Aramaic and Hebrew. And there are no Gospels in that language. They're corrupted. Now if you destroyed every single Quran on the earth, we would bring it back. Word for word.
Because millions of people have memorized the Quran word for word. It's called a Hafiz sheet. The reason I became Muslim is because I've always believed in God. And I believe nothing is worthy of worship except God. I bear witness that there is no deity but God.
