Understanding the Purpose of Worship in Islam

I'll start by giving you the most important piece of information you'll hear in your life, and this information

comes at a price. If you don't want to lose, leave the video.

I worked hard to gather this information and give it to you, and I'll take something in return.

Look at the course of your life. We know

since we were children why God created jinn and humans: for worship.

But the more important question is, why did God command us to worship? From the moment you were born,

God commanded your mother to breastfeed you for two years. Then you began childhood and started growing up.

Then your father comes and tells you to pray. He says, “No, no, let him have his childhood until he grows up and reaches seven

years old.” Then you began going out and playing by the door or in front of the neighbors.

And He commands all neighbors, “The best of you are the best to your neighbors.”

You went to school to learn, then He commands the teacher to teach you well and grants him

in return for teaching you well, reward, good deeds, and Paradise, God willing.

Look at the extent of His care for you, to the point that even when you go to the market,

glory be to God, He commands merchants to give full measure and weight.

So no one will rob or scam you, then you go to work and grow up.

And get a job. He commands your manager not to look down on you or speak harshly to you.

He commands your colleagues to be friendly with you and work as one organized team.

God's love for you goes so far that, if you're heading to work fed up, He commands society

around you. Smiling in your Muslim brother's face is charity.

Oh God, such is God's love and care for you. Even when you grow up and get married, He commands your wife

to take care of you, your children, and your home. And it is not exclusive to men.

When women came to the Messenger of God, peace and blessings be upon him, they said, “Men have taken the rewards, Messenger

of God. They seclude themselves in worship, strive, and give charity, while we sit at home.”

The Messenger of God said, in meaning, “Since you take care of your home and your children

and your husband, you will have a reward like theirs, with nothing diminished from it.”

Out of His love for you, He commands your relatives, your siblings, your brother's children, your uncle's children

to maintain family ties. He commands them to gather with you and be affectionate.

He is with you on happy occasions or, God forbid, on sad ones, out of love

from God for you. If financial hardship comes your way, He commands the merchant

who earned his living by the sweat of his brow

to take money from it and give it to you, and you will not enter Paradise until you give him some of your money

and purify yourself by giving it to him. What love you are living in. Glory be to God, if your

car breaks down or you face any circumstance, He rewards the person who helps you

with the reward of fasting, night prayers, and retreat for a month in the Prophet's Mosque, peace and blessings be upon him.

Are you aware of Islam and all the commands of Islam? Look to what extent, to the extent that…

Even if someone borrows money from you, He says it is forbidden to take anything extra from it.

It is considered usury. He even safeguards your reputation, instructing those around you

that no one

backbite you or talk about you behind your back. Out of His concern for you, He instructs

anyone who sits or chats with you. Even if there are three or four of them with you, they must not

exchange winks and nudges behind your back. Winking and nudging are when someone makes fun of you or says

you do not know what you are talking about. Out of His love for you, God Almighty does not allow anyone

He does not want anyone to scare you, even in jest, or terrify you or harm you.

Out of His love for you, God made your blood, wealth, and honor sacred.

Sacred. He forbade everyone in the society around you from

violating your wealth,

your honor, or your life, out of God Almighty's concern for you, even in your relationships.

He does not want anyone to come between you and the people you love, whether colleagues or relatives,

by spreading gossip between you or ruining your relationships, or passing along words

about you, whether true or untrue, out of God's love for you.

When you grow old and your back bends, He commands your children to obey their parents, and He pairs nothing with

obedience to Him, Glorious and Majestic, except obedience to parents. He even commands them not to say

"uff" to you, even after death.

Glory be to God, you die and God admits you to Paradise, God willing.

Day after day, you find your rank in Paradise rising.

"What is this, my Lord?" "It is your child, whom you taught ‘Say: He is Allah, the One.’"

Every time he recites it, his rank rises, God willing, in Paradise.

Understand that Islam is for you, not against you. If we take as an example that God forbade you from

Theft, because how much can you steal in a day? A thousand, a hundred, a million.

But if theft were allowed, how much would society steal from you, even your clothes?

They'd steal the clothes off your back. And now, He forbade you from adultery because it's an equation where you

lose.

How many times can you commit adultery in a day? Once, twice, three times.

So if adultery were allowed, how many people in society around you would commit adultery against you, against

your wife, your mother, your sister, and your relatives? The important question we need to know now is,

why did God create jinn and humans to worship Him? But the more important question is, why did God command us

to worship Him? In short, because He loves you and wants everything that helps you live

for 60 or 70 years while protecting yourself and your mental,

financial, physical, and family health. And as a reward for taking care

of yourself and following Islam, which benefits you, God will reward you with Paradise, God willing.

They asked the Prophet, peace be upon him, "O Messenger of God, do we enter Paradise through our deeds or

through God's mercy?" He said, "No, through God's mercy." They said, "And underline this."

Not even you, Messenger of God? He said, “Not even me.” Messenger of God, you know, if

someone converts through you, their prayers, fasting, and worship earn you a reward like theirs.

So how many billions of Muslims converted because of the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, yet

he says, “I enter Paradise by God’s mercy.” In short, religion is love for you.

For example, if I made a car and put a manual in the glove compartment, and that manual

contained all the car’s instructions and any damage that might happen to it.

Would it make sense for you to come philosophizing and say, “By God,

if the stereo breaks,

the spare tire in the back won’t help.” I made the car, and I’m the one telling you

this is wrong, this is right, this is this, and this is that.

Most people who come to distort religion, mock religion, or give you orders

that contradict the commands of religion don’t know more than the One who created religion

and created all people. It is, simply, a beautiful, happy series

from your birth until after death.

What I told you is that if your son understands this, by God's grace, he'll pray whether you are

there or not. People will know Islam's purpose.

The greatest benefit now would be if this video spread and someone

were to translate it into English, for example, benefit from it and share it with the West.

How many people will embrace Islam, by God's grace, because you shared it?

Most preachers call on non-Muslims.

They say, “God said, and the Messenger said,” but he doesn't believe, doesn't believe in you, your religion, or

your Prophet. So it's better to explain Islam in a simple, logical way

like this,

so that perhaps God will guide him to embrace Islam. And how much reward will you receive from one person's conversion?
