Gandhi's Controversial Quotes in Film

The filmmakers did not add this dialogue on their own.

Many people think this dialogue is merely a fiction. It has no historical

evidence. But did you know that Mahatma Gandhi actually used to say this dialogue

openly in his speeches, and that M. K. Gandhi has a

very famous book, Gandhi and Communal Problems. In its 17th

chapter, it is clearly written that Muslims, as a rule, are bullies, and

Hindus, as a rule, are cowards. And in the Hindi translation of this book,

it is also written that Muslims are bullies and Hindus are generally

cowards, and that as long as Hindus remain immersed in fear,

there will continue to be conflicts, because where there are cowards, there are thugs

found.
