Discussion on Personal Freedom and Niqab

Vision 2030 Without a Niqab. Oh, please, don't hide the poison

in honey and tie the niqab to a grand vision on the premise that one of the reasons

for progress is that I take off my niqab. First of all, the niqab has never been an obstacle

for us, nor a reason for our lack of progress. We're convinced

and content with it. It hasn't stopped us from studying or working or succeeding.

Thank God, we're living our lives normally. We always hear, "It's personal freedom, everyone

is free in their choices and beliefs." Okay, nice, great.

Why, when it comes to a niqabi, is there no personal freedom anymore? Why do you always try to

convey the idea that a niqabi is oppressed? The niqab is an obstacle for her and she

can't live her life normally. We aren't asking you to accept the niqab,

but just as you ask people to respect your beliefs, respect

our beliefs and don't speak on behalf of niqabi women.

Don't make the niqab an issue that needs solving and a niqabi a person who needs

liberating. No, no, our progress and ambitions aren't tied

to the niqab. Thank God, our progress and ambitions aren't contingent on uncovering

our faces.

If it is an obligation, we are saved, and if it is Sunnah we have gained.

And if it is modesty, we have covered ourselves, and if it is a favor from God,

then we are not beyond need of God's favor upon us.
