Many people have been asking me lately Why does the IDF continue operating

inside the camps and cities in Judea and Samaria? From the heart of Jenin,

it is important that I answer clearly. Before the summer camps operation,

these places were not just for living. The terrorist organizations,

or as they called themselves, the brigades,

were gangs of thugs that exploited

civilian infrastructure and turned houses and residential buildings

into hotbeds of terrorism and put the Palestinian residents here in danger.

The presence of the Israel Defense Forces in Jenin, in Tulkarm,

and in northern Samaria in general has weakened terrorism not only here,

but throughout all of Judea and Samaria.

And you ask me why the operations continue?

Because security is not a one- time event, it is an ongoing process so

that we do not give terrorism a chance to raise its head again. Peace.
