Analysis of Netanyahu's Political Standing

Whether peace is made today,

or tomorrow, makes no difference to us. Netanyahu is like one of those

neighborhood toughs, like Dash Akol,

who used to

make a racket and curse everyone out.

People in his neighborhood gathered around him and watched him.

A young man stood up among the crowd and gave a couple of slaps to this guy.

He fell to the ground.

Then he staggered over and gave him a couple of kicks too.

Then he left the young man there and went away.

He did what he set out to do.

Now he got up and dusted himself off, and in order to save face,

he started throwing stones and smashing people's windows, and then

the people around him who had been laughing at him gave him a few blows.

This thug, Mr. Dash Akol, has lost his standing. It's gone.

It's not coming back.

All this noise only delays it a little.

But he has to leave the neighborhood.

This thug can no longer stay in the neighborhood.

He's finished. He's just delaying things. He's smashing windows,

roaring, but he no longer has any standing among the people.

This is Netanyahu's position.

It has no credibility.

It has lost its effectiveness.
