Documenting Severe Weather in Brazil

primeiro dia aqui no Sul do Brasil. Pai, quer mostrar a eles o pôr do sol?

Lindo pôr do sol sobre Santa Maria, no Rio Grande do

e a mídia local

E então temos uti- temos usado o Google Tradutor

Original transcript (English)

Hey everybody, we just got, uh, we're nearing the end of day one down here in Southern Brazil. Dad, you wanna show them the sunset? Beautiful sunset over Santa Maria in Rio Grande do Sul, Brazil. No chasing today. Today was a rest day after

over 20 hours of travel, uh, yesterday. Took some time to get the rental car set up, get the streaming equipment set up, uh, do some interviews with local news and media agencies,

and we're gonna get into the action tomorrow. Tomorrow looks like a fun chase day with, um, multiple discrete super cells and a favorably sheared environment. Looks like potentially huge hail. We could be talking large to very large, uh, hail, larger

than softballs tomorrow. We will be streaming all of this on YouTube, but today was a fun day. We had breakfast and lunch at two local areas, and the food was delicious. It's been very interesting, uh, because neither

my dad nor I speak a lick of Portuguese. Um, and so we've pres- we've been using Google Translate heavily, and if it was- wasn't for, uh, Gabriel and Raphael, then uh, it probably would've been a crap show today, especially getting the rental car.

I'll show some, uh, some video of conversation going on there. Um, I expect that to probably continue, but tomorrow we'll be out in the country more and probably less, uh, human interaction, so we'll see.

We'll keep you guys posted. Be sure to like and follow to follow along on this journey to document severe weather in southern Brazil.
