When even I have moments of total despair — and that happens, because I'm human too.
When it seems to me that everything is lost and that what comes next is unknown, unclear.
I remember why I do what I do.
I remember our people.
I remember those soldiers who write to me on Signal or WhatsApp — it doesn't matter which we use to communicate every day.
Who share their worries.
Who need help.
One of them wrote back to me yesterday, frankly — he used a swear word — he was so fed up that he said he wasn't afraid of responsibility.
The person gave an honest report on the situation at the front.
All the more so — for the truth we will change, because we'll die.
When I see these people, when I see those who took to the streets in the summer, when I talk to our fighters,
I realize that I have no right to despair.
I have no right to give up.
And you don't have that right either.
As a state, as a nation, we have already paid too high a price to fall into despair.
Let the Russians despair.
But we must not give them that.
And even when it's hard, even when things are shitty, and even when we have political, corruption, and other crises,
it's still important to speak out, to fight, and to continue doing our work.
Because otherwise, what's the point of all this?
Because otherwise we will betray each other.
We have the best people, the best nation, so let's remain united and keep fighting
against all the challenges we face today.
And then not everything will be lost.
That's my view.
