Judicial Expectations and Management Changes

At this juncture we are in, and during this period

of the judiciary's term, as you are all

aware.

Our dear Imam,

our martyred Imam, had expectations.

We certainly were not able to fulfill

all of them. Today, our dear Leader has expectations

of us.

Both the people and society expect this from us, and so do we ourselves.

Even if no one expected anything from us at all,

what do we want to do ourselves, dear brothers?

Whether in— sitting in this chair, or in this chair

not sitting.

Well, our Transformation Document, which was favored

by our martyred Imam, is still favored today.

That too has assigned us duties, including regarding

our management.

Naturally, some of us around this table

might,

in order to ultimately have a new move, a new transformation, a

new plan, a new move, we might be reshuffled.

My request to our colleagues is that

we do not treat this in a way that

we won't achieve the intended goal, but rather go in the opposite direction.

I've said many times, look, as

a single...

if we want to take on an external form, as if all of us are one manager

to advance affairs, to elevate affairs, to

improve affairs.

Wherever each of us may be. Now, some of our friends may also be moved

around.

Neutral and non-neutral people exist, and they say certain things.

In no period have we consulted as much as this term

regarding individuals,

or sought the gentlemen's views.

A working group was formed, and all representatives of oversight bodies

were in it.

They came, again, a long time ago, even before these past two

months.

They set indicators across various areas.

And occasionally, with some people who were outside

or made suggestions, whenever an occasion arose, discussions were held—

with the IRGC, the Ministry of Intelligence, and some of the gentlemen

who were previously in the judiciary at various levels and are not anymore.

They either retired or are simply not here anymore.

If an occasion came up or a conversation arose, or if they happened to

have a suggestion, we said, "Give your suggestion. If you have any opinion, share it."

A number of our colleagues get relocated.

Yes, of course, someone might say, "Sir, so-and-so has this issue."

Sometimes that criticism really isn't valid.

I say, "Sir, who are you hearing this from?" They s—

"They say." These things you say

are said about you, at most it's something else. One,

two,

some of what they say, I've investigated to the best of

my ability. I checked and I say there is no such

thing. You say, "They say." I say that

wha— what was said, I heard it too, looked into it,

and analyzed it.

It's not what you're saying. We were sitting together when one of the gentlemen

came and said something. I said, "Sir,

what you're saying is unlikely." He said, "No, from so-and-so myself,

I heard it." I turned up the speaker volume and called

that person right then and there.

"Sir." I said, "Sir, there's this issue. How..."

"...aware are you? What's going on with this?" Sir, with some of this... with this intro.

He said, "I don't know, sir. I heard it from so-and-so."

"Stay seated." I said, "Sir, sit down. Put it on speaker..."

"...so he can hear." He said, "I don't know any of this. None of it." He kept asking questions.

He said, "I know nothing about this. I just heard it." "Oh, all right."

They didn't have his number anymore. I said, "Sir, call so-and-so."

He called so-and-so's office. I told him. He said, "Haj Agha, I..."

"...don't know. I heard it from so-and-so."

Now, all of this that I'm saying took much longer than...

...the time it takes to say it now. All right.

We reached the fourth person.

Meaning including this gentleman, it was the fourth.

Until a call... "I didn't say it like that.

I said it this way. It was like this.

I said I heard this part, and my analysis...

...and inference is this." Now he was sitting; I said, "Come sit next to me."

Well, what you were saying, and you said, "I heard it myself and I'm sure," look,

this is how it plays out; look where this has led.

And some people are just like that.

The approach we followed, the method that occurred to us, as far as possible,

we consulted. We were as careful as possible, as far as

it was possible,

we thought this way was better than that.

I said it here and I repeat it now: my effort has been

that if, God forbid, someone comes from some place and

some direction, as far as possible, as much as feasible, no harm

comes to them.
