Did you think the Assembly of Experts would choose him?

Well, he was always considered one of the candidates— or let's not say candidate,

but someone qualified for this post.

Well, the decision lies with the Assembly of Experts.

What turned out very well for us was that it sent a very important

message to the world.

Despite the war and despite all of this, no change has occurred, nor will occur,

in the policies, principles,

and ideals of the Islamic Republic.

And it was very important for this message to reach the Americans.

The phrasing they used to mock Trump was," Well, what did you do?

Khamenei just got younger."

You couldn't do anything else,

the Strait of Hormuz was open and now it's closed because of you,

you couldn't access the materials either, what did you achieve?

And this really remains the case for Trump, who cannot present any achievements.

Now I believe that we have actually achieved a strategic victory.

In my opinion, the position of the Islamic Republic

changed completely after this war.

And most importantly, the perception of a weak Iran was shattered.

And instead, it was replaced by the perception of a strong and resilient Iran.

Didn't this happen after the 22- Day War?

Yes, a little bit back then too, but they didn't believe it.

They thought the reason was, I don't know, equipment and things like that, and…

If they hit Iran's launchers, do this or that, they can resolve it.

But in this Gaza war, it was finally proven.

Especially since last time, after the war, they called for a ceasefire,

and we finally accepted.

This time we said we won't even agree to a ceasefire, we want to fight.

Until we reach a point that marks the end of the war.

We don't want this scenario to be repeated every year anymore.

What I'm saying, God knows, is not a slogan at all,

as someone who sees this every day in the talks I have with other countries.

What is the feedback over there?

Absolutely, everyone, the ministers we meet with, friend and foe alike.

They say Iran emerged stronger from this war.

This is their own interpretation. Iran surprised the world.

Iran showed its true power.

We just realized that your nuclear bomb is the Strait of Hormuz;

we had been looking for something else until now.

The world realized that Iran is strong;

this was perhaps our greatest victory.

Well, how did they realize we are strong? Because we resisted.

We neither surrendered, nor did regime change occur,

nor did the partition of Iran happen,

even though they had planned for Iran's partition.
