Indeed, there is no day, as the Prophet,

peace and blessings be upon him, said,

better than this day. The best day on which the sun has risen

is this tenth day of Dhu al- Hijjah, this Day of Sacrifice,

because it is the day of completing the Hajj rituals. Allah, Glory be to Him, says:

" So pray to your Lord and sacrifice."

And in this is a great indication that

it is not fitting for a servant

to sacrifice for Allah

and to glorify Allah

until they pray to Allah.

For a person does not truly glorify his Lord with the sacrifice until he places his

forehead on the ground. And one cannot implement the commands of Allah as

they should be, until he submits to Him, Glory be to Him,

through prayer.

Servants of Allah, on this blessed day, we remember the story of our father Abraham,

peace be upon him,

with his son Ishmael. And when he reached the age of working with him,

he said," O my son."

Look at this beautiful fatherly discourse

when Ishmael grew up, having been granted to him in his old age.

He was granted to him in his old age. He said to him," O my son," showing affection

to his child. There is no cruelty or harshness, and he is the Prophet of Allah,

and the Close Friend of Allah,

and one of the best of Allah's messengers.

Showing affection to his child:" O my son,

indeed, I have seen in a dream that I must sacrifice you."

It is no easy speech, no simple speech. But he is endearing himself to his son
