The Middle East is at another critical juncture

no less dangerous than the other junctures

the region has gone through, through destructive

colonial, occupying projects aimed at fragmenting our region and creating a new Sykes-Picot.

What we are seeing now

What we are seeing now in our region,

in general, is a struggle between the prospects of these

projects succeeding and the prospects of their failure. More clearly,

what we are seeing is the likelihood of the New Middle East project failing.

The results so far do not seem to favor this project.

What we see now is resisting Iraq in the east,

resisting Lebanon in the west, and in the south, the

resisting Palestinian people. And we in Syria are not in

the middle, but at the heart. The difference between the middle

and the heart is great in all these events.

Of course.

We must.

We must not underestimate our enemies and adversaries despite their failure,

for they always have cards they play at different times

to breathe life into their dead projects.

And now what we see in our region is

the last card they are playing, the card of sedition

and fragmentation. Thus, the resistance fighter

ends up fighting the other resistance fighter. The resistance fighter defends

the occupier instead of defending the resistance fighter

and fighting the occupier. This is their project.

Of course, I'm not worried about Syria when—when

I speak in this context.

through the Syrian people's awareness, patriotism, and nationalism.
