Analysis of Religious Text Excerpt

Blessed is He in whose hand is dominion, and He

is powerful over all things. He who

created death and life to test you

as to which of you is best in deeds, and He

is the Almighty, the Forgiving. He who created

seven heavens

in layers. You see not in the creation

of the Most Merciful any disparity, so look again

again, do you see any flaws?

Then look again twice

your sight will return to you humbled

and sad. And indeed We have adorned

the nearest heaven with lamps

and made them missiles

for the devils, and We have prepared for them

the punishment of the Blaze. And for those

who disbelieve in their Lord is the punishment of Hell

and wretched is the destination. When

they are cast into it, they will hear it roaring

as it boils, almost bursting

with rage. Whenever

a group is cast into it

its keepers will ask them

its keepers will ask them

Did no warner come to you? They will say

Yes, a warner did come to us

but we denied and said, God has not sent down

anything. You are

only in great error.

And they will say, if only we had listened or

reasoned, we would not have been among

the companions of the Blaze. They admitted

their sin, they admitted

their sin, so away with the companions of

the Blaze. Indeed, those who

fear their Lord in the unseen

indeed, those who fear

their Lord in the unseen, for them

is forgiveness, is forgiveness

and a reward

great. Keep your words secret or

speak them aloud, indeed He is

All-Knowing

what is within hearts. Does He not know

He who created, while He is the Most Subtle, All-Aware? He

is the One who made the earth manageable for you,

so walk along its paths, walk along its

paths and eat of His provision,

and to Him is the resurrection.

Do you feel secure from He who is in heaven

that He will cause the earth to swallow you, and then it

will quake? Or do you feel secure from

He who is in heaven that He will send upon you

a storm of stones? Then you will know how

My warning is. Those before them also denied,

so how was My condemnation? Have they not

looked at the birds above them, spreading their wings

and folding them? None

holds them up except

the Most Merciful. Indeed, He

sees everything.

Is there one who is

an army for you, aiding you against

the Most Merciful? The disbelievers are

only in delusion. Is there one who

will provide for you if He withholds His provision? Rather,

they persist in arrogance and aversion.

Is one who walks fallen upon

his face better guided, or

one who walks upright on a path

straight? Say, He is the One who

brought you into being and gave you hearing,

sight, and hearts. Little

are you grateful. Say, He is the One who

dispersed you throughout the earth, and to Him

you will be gathered. And they say, When is

this promise, if you are

truthful? Say, knowledge is only

with God. Say,

knowledge is only with

God, and I am only

a clear warner. Then when

they saw it approaching, the faces

those who disbelieved, and it will be said, “This

is what you used to call for.”

Say, “Have you considered if God were to destroy me

and those with me, or have mercy on us, who

would protect the disbelievers from a punishment

that is painful?” Say, “He is

the Most Merciful.” Say,

“He is the Most Merciful. We believe

in Him, and in Him

we place our trust. You will soon know

who is in clear error.” Say, “Have you considered if

your water were to sink away,

ماؤكم غورا

then who would bring you

flowing water?”
