Metzitzah B'peh is an ancient Jewish Talmudic
blood ritual, in which a mohel rabbi uses his
mouth to suck the blood from a baby's penis,
directly after it has been circumcised. This
satanic ritual has been performed for thousands
of years, and is still practiced up until this
very day on thousands of newborn babies. This
ritual has caused the death of many infants
due to the transmission of the herpes virus
that gets passed down from the rabbi to the
baby. In spite of all the potential danger to
the baby, and its sick and twisted nature, it
is still performed daily across the globe, and
it is rigorously defended by the Jewish community.
In the Halacha, in Yoreh De'ah, that's the second
section of the... uh... four sections of Halacha
called the Shulchan Aruch, the set table, in
uh chapter 266, uh Halacha 3, 4, 5 and 6, he
describes how the circumcision is to be done.
He says after the cutting, the mohel does what
is called metzitzah. And metzitzah means to
suck, and it means doing so with his mouth.
And one could say, well, why can't you use a
tube?
Well, you could, technically, but it's not the
custom as to why, how it was done. Now why is
it that way?
Well, you could say that in the olden days you
didn't have tubes. Now you can have tubes, so
why not?
The answer is, I thought about it, is that it's
not as effective. The Brooklyn District Attorney
is investigating the death of an infant at Maimonides
Hospital. The two-week-old died last fall after
contracting herpes during the ritual which is
called Metzitzah B'peh. Health officials warn
the virus can be transmitted during direct oral
contact. Many defend the centuries-old practice.
You have more of a chance of getting hit by
a car than getting herpes. We still keep on
doing it and we will keep on doing it because
that's what our... that's what says in our religion
that that's what we should do.
