The Greek Orthodox Patriarchate and the Latin Patriarchate have announced

that the displaced and refugees who are present in the churches of Gaza

and specifically in the Orthodox Church of Saint Porphyrius

and in the Latin Church of the Holy Family, they remain

The church says that the refugees and displaced persons, Christians and others,

are remaining in these churches and in these monasteries

and the churches will not abandon them

Despite the occupation's orders regarding Gaza and the evacuation of residents from northern Gaza

we say that Christians and other citizens

who sought refuge in the churches remain in them

and the churches confirm that they remain in them

And we call and demand now, from the heart of the city of Jerusalem:

this aggression must stop

this war must stop

this bloodshed must stop

this suffering must not continue

this war must not continue

The people of Gaza are human beings created by God, just like every person in this world

and they deserve the life that every human being deserves

Our message as Christians and as churches in Jerusalem

We are with our people.

We are with Gaza.

We will not abandon our people in Gaza.

Under any circumstances.

And we will continue to call for and demand an end to the war.
