Colombia's International Investment Mission
Today, this international mission commissioned by
President-elect Abelardo de la Espriella here in Washington ends.
The miracle homeland in the United States of America.
More than 50 meetings with high-level officials and investors,
eight meetings with secretaries and
leaders of the US government.
The opportunity to have more than 200 investors gathered here who are
learning about the opportunities Colombia has in energy,
infrastructure, technology, agro-industry, and different
sectors of our national life.
We have also had the opportunity to send a message that Colombia
is back on the international stage.
And today we are also here with the conviction that
this effort is already yielding results.
And starting July 28, we will have an international mission of agencies
from the US government that will meet in working groups with the ministers
and designated ministers to
prioritize the areas where we will have the support of the United States of America.
In the conversation with the various secretaries of the US government,
Colombia assumes
the role of strategic ally of the United States of America for the
recovery of Venezuela, an investment and trade opportunity that
generates growth and social benefit for our country.
The miracle homeland has already started, and we haven't even taken office yet.
At the end of August, we will have the launch of a new project supported
by USTDA in the great large-scale digital center that allows
for Colombia to take a step forward in terms of
technology in the Fourth Industrial Revolution.
And for the end of September,
we will have the Week Dedicated to the Miracle Homeland in New York.
We expect investors,
business leaders.
In a demonstration that the government of Bernardo de la Espriella will be the best
government in the history of the country.
A government that has the ability to execute and make decisions.
And a government that always puts social issues as its top priority.
Because we must support the most vulnerable population in our country.
