Hezbollah's Command Chain Destruction
Did you know that it was one of Hezbollah's own rockets
that set off the
destruction of their entire command chain?
Hassan Nasrallah spent 32 years turning Hezbollah, Iran's proxy in Lebanon,
into one of the most heavily armed terror organizations in the Middle East.
The day after Hamas attacked Israel on October 7th, Hezbollah decided to join
Hamas and began firing rockets at Israel.
But on July 27th, it was one rocket that changed everything.
Hezbollah shot and hit a soccer field in Majdel Shams, killing 12
children. That rocket set off a chain reaction
that would be the end of Nasrallah,
and so it began. July 30th, Israel eliminates Fuad Shukr, Hezbollah's
top military commander and Nasrallah's right-hand man.
Next, September 17th, came Mossad's pager operation.
Thousands of Hezbollah pagers simultaneously exploded across Lebanon,
killing
dozens and wounding thousands of operatives.
Then on September 20th, Israel struck Ibrahim Akil
and 15 commanders of
Hezbollah's Radwan commando force while they were gathered underground in
Beirut
planning their Conquer the Galilee attack.
On September 23rd, Operation Northern Arrows began.
The Israeli Air Force struck about 1,300 Hezbollah targets in a single day,
reducing Hezbollah's rocket firing capability by roughly 80%.
September 27th, Netanyahu was in New York preparing to address the
United
Nations when Israel's defense minister and IDF chief of staff called him.
They told Netanyahu that Nasrallah was in his bunker
and recommended they strike
before the opportunity was gone. Netanyahu gave the green light
and walked onto
that stage. He gave his speech, and the moment he walked off stage, that
countdown had ended. At 6:21 PM, 10 Israeli fighter
jets released 83 one-ton bombs on Nasrallah's bunker complex, seven
seconds from the first bomb till the last bomb dropped.
But Israel wasn't done. A week later, they eliminated Hashem Safieddine,
Nasrallah's successor and Hezbollah's next leader in an
underground bunker meeting.
And when Hezbollah held a funeral for the two men in a Beirut stadium, the Israeli
Air Force flew over their heads, the same pilots who had taken part in the
strikes. The message Israel sent was clear: You may spend 32
years building an army, but all Israel needs
is seven seconds to tear it down.
