Mentality of Fighters in the Ring
I have, I have zero mercy in the ring.
Um, I was taught by one coach, he's like, "Look, I'm a fighter who stumps
other fighters' kneecaps," and a lot of people find
that to be slightly
unsportsmanlike, and you could cause somebody a,
a career-ending injury doing that.
But the way that I was trained was like, "Hey, if somebody's punching you in the
brain, your memory starts to subside, your ability to
pronunciate words starts to su- su- subside.
He's trying to give you brain damage.
Why not give him a limp for the rest of his life?" So it's a very dog-eat-dog
world in, inside the octagon, and I think you kinda have that mentality.
You have to have that mentality going in there
or else you'll get hurt.
Same thing with military. You know, those guys can't be friendly to the enemy.
They just can't. After the event, you know, buy the guy a beer, wish
him all the best, but during the event it, it has to be eat or
be eaten
