Protests in France Over Education Issues
Schools blockaded, cars burning, police attack, chaos
everywhere. These are scenes out of France, of course,
where students
are protesting s- supposedly overcrowded classrooms, teacher
shortages, crumbling schools. But they're just protesting,
a lot of them,
because that's what they do. Now, for years, the Anglos warned that Europe's
political class was in for a rude awakening.
The globalists are meeting their comeuppance. Well, here it is.
You can only ignore your own people for so long before they say, "Enough."
We're not being listened to. We- we don't have enough money.
We, um, our priorities are not the government priority, and that
also triggers lots of anxiety. And that, um,
triggers our will to really go and strike even more.
Government spending accounts for about 57% of France's economy.
Its debt is now at 4.1 trillion. All that spending and
borrowing, and France's government still needs more
of your money and control.
America, this is a warning. From the immigration
disaster there, uh, to the fiscal mismanagement, the
same promises. Free college, government-funded healthcare,
tax the rich,
climate change, open borders. They're all being sold here, and they
were implemented, some of them, here by AOC, Bernie,
El-Sayed. But one man from France has a warning for
all of us tonight,
and his message is clear. Before you vote for more government,
look at what's happening in the streets of France.
Here now is Reviel Lapomme, CEO of Argylle.
Reviel, excuse me, French is not my, uh, is not my language.
But-
... um, what should Americans understand, first about what is
happening in France? There are a bunch of dynamics at play.
The immigration, you know, disaster there, the economic disaster, the
middle class crumbling. What do Americans need to understand that
perhaps they're not getting from the headlines?
Um, I think basically what we are seeing right now in France is the
consequences of, uh, decades, decades of, uh, socialism.
So basically, I think we had a turning point
in, uh, in the '80, uh, from Mitterrand.
And, uh, and right now it's, uh, it's a bit funny because there
are, uh, the students are protesting about, like, uh,
having more,
uh, more money to, to a better school, but at the end of the day just a mixing
of different causes. And it's, uh, it's a total chaos.
But I think what we are watching right now in France
is the literally the
consequences of, uh,
uh, of the states, and because states don't know how to
manage money, and this is
literally the consequences of, of socialism.
So that's why the, the purpose of, of my, uh,
of my, of my, of, of my post and, uh...
Because I, I live in US, I live in Fr- I grew up in France and, uh,
and I'm seeing some, uh, temptation from applying the
method we we literally apply for the last, uh, 40 years in France
in US, and, um, just trying to, to warn US people it, it won't work.
Yeah, Reviel, the socialism doesn't work.
I mean, the socialists-
Yeah, literally
... the great socialist experiment
really took place-
Yeah
... in France. Uh, ab- above any other country. France was it.
It was the be all and end all for American liberals in the
universities. When I was in college in the 1980s,
France was the pinnacle of what we all wanted to be. Follow France.
And, and liberals here still believe that. Still believe it, on every issue.
Um, what is your prediction for what will
happen, uh, with
Marine Lap- uh, Le Pen and the opposition
to, of course, the Macron era, which is coming to a close?
I think Macron is the,
is literally the, the final product of just s- having
this vision of, uh, like, being globalist and using different
causes to, uh, bring an agenda. And, uh,
yeah, basically right now we... It's, it's, it's, it's really
messy in France and, uh, Marine Le Pen is just the, the,
the opposite. Uh, she want to, to, to fix the problem in, uh,
in the immigration. We have also problem in economy,
and so that's another topic.
But yeah, right now I think, uh, the majority of French just realize
we have a problem with, uh, with immigration.
I think it's, uh, it's, uh, like 70% of U- of French people want to
just stop immigration. And, uh, and this is just
not basically what Macron and Europ- European-
Yeah
... uh, uh, elite is, is, is doing. But yeah, it's,
uh, it's a constriction for, for, for the last decades and we are just, uh,
we, we, we are...
I think people are not happy with that and, uh, and, uh, and I think some-
Socialism doesn't work. Reviel, I was gonna say-
Yeah
... socialism and open borders is a nightmare.
It's gonna destroy your country, your culture, your economy, down
the drain. France is a prime example.
Socialism, open borders, culture clash, nightmare.
Uh, the, the-
Yeah
... the fall of Christianity, fall of Christianity, sorry, in,
in some parts of
France. I mean, it's, there's a revival going on I think too.
There's some good things happening in France.
But we want France to be great and succeed. Reviel, thank you so much.
We appreciate it. And coming up, this is wh-
