Chris Hansen Says Roblox Banned Account During RoMeet Safety Demo

Watch this. Why would that account, why would I get banned?

Because we just showed thousands of people what's going on.

Do you think they're monitoring this knowing that we're appearing at Roblox?

I mean, I'll let, I'll let everyone answer that.

Yeah. We're gonna show everybody here Roblox.

So what you're gonna do-- So I legally can't play Roblox, so Chris has to. Right. Yeah.

We're gonna see how this goes here. So you are entering a game right now that is literally based off of a platform that was sued out of existence for child exploitation.

That platform being Omegle. Uh, this is a game called RoMeet, and, uh, you'll see very quickly.

So just hit, uh, Start Match. This is RoMeet, which is available on Roblox. On Roblox.

What's the call or Start Match? No, you hit Start Match.

Hit Start Match? Yeah. Can you imagine if we called this predator- -and thousands of people got a chance to talk to him? Yeah.

What did he say? "You have Snapchat." Immediately, first message, "You have Snapchat."

That was what you just got. Yeah. He's trying to lure you from Roblox onto Snapchat.

And who does he think we are? Uh, uh, a female.

Uh, it's a female account on Roblox, and that person is asking you to get to Snapchat.

Ask him why. Say, "What do you wanna do?" Where do I type that in?

So you'll hit that thing down at the very bottom.

Right there? Yeah. I mean, I just wanna explain how extraordinary- Why? -that is.

Just instantly you're able to get messages like this.

Think of how many kids are getting subjected to this.

"What you wanna do?" Yeah.

Now, do, do you think for one minute he thinks he's talking to Chris Hansen?

"I don't know. I'm bored." He's bored. "Any ideas?"

"No, what about you?" So he's fishing right now. Right.

He, he's trying to pretty much get- Probing. Exactly. He's trying to.

So if you wanna just skip and see another guy.

All right. What's that?

What's he say? "And bust his ass." "Bust his ass," yeah.

We'll, we'll get there, trust me.

All right, now we're searching again. Right. Okay, this guy's name's freakforrealforreal.

That's his name. I think we may be onto something. Yeah. Say hi.

Let's see what freakforrealforreal7 has to say.

"What you doing?" I think that's what he says.

"What's up?" Oh, is that what he said? Oh.

Disconnected. You've been kicked by moderators.

Wow, what just happened here? They're watching you. Wait. Go-- Are they watching?

Here, wait. Hit exit. Exit on that. Got it.

And then just refresh the page. Now I just wanna note- Just refreshing ...

Chris is controlling this, not me. Right. Yeah, just refresh that page.

Roblox just banned the account. Oh my God.

Wow! So a Roblox employee is watching this right now, live on stage.

Rather than banning that game, is, uh, gonna do that.

What do you think is really happening? Why would that account, why would I get banned?

Because we just showed thousands of people what's going on.

Do you think they're monitoring this knowing that we're appearing at Roblox?

I mean, I'll let, I'll let everyone answer that.

Yeah. So let me get this straight. Chris Hansen gets banned while exposing potential dangers to children, but the people who need to be investigated may still be on the platform.

Make it make sense.

Protect the children first. Their safety should never take a backseat to a company's reputation.
