Brewers React to Jackson Chourio’s Walk-Off Hit and Sal Frelick’s Winning Run

Sal, how do you describe what just happened?

Magical. Yeah! And electric. That's two words.

What will you remember about Jackson's at-bat and running around the bases?

Well, I knew he was gonna get a hit, so it's just how fast can I get home before the ball does?

And then- ... Yelly tackling me was pretty good, but he didn't play football, so I should've that tackle.

Uh, and then went out and met Jackson, which was just awesome.

It's unbelievable. Um, you know, great at-bat from him, and just knew he was gonna come through, and just an unbelievable, uh, atmosphere and swing.

And you just knew he was, you just knew he was gonna come through right there.

So that was just unreal at-bats from everybody that inning, and, uh, what a win.

What will you remember about just the moment?

Uh, I don't even know right now. I'll have to think about it, but it was just, just electric in there. There was, uh, a lot that ran through the mind.

Don't field it, and then just right when it passed, passed him, I was just telling Sal, "Get down, get down." I knew we ...

I wasn't even looking. I was just screaming at him to get down, so unbelievable. Ice in his veins. It's awesome.

What will you remember just about the inning and, like, the moment of winning?

Um, yeah, a lot of pick-me-up baseball, quality at-bats.

Um, the, the guys before him, uh, getting on base, doing their job, and then Chio coming in to finish the game, so it was awesome.

That was, that was one of the coolest th- like, the home run, uh, against Chi- Chicago that put us to tie it up, this, this topped that. That was unreal.

Felt like kinda watching it in slow motion.

Um, abs- the ball was absolutely crushed, but when it got to Jackson, panned o- or, yeah, to Jackson in center, Jackson, um, panned over and saw Sal roundin' third and kinda just didn't move my body and just watched it, you know, just waited. Like, I can't move.

If I move, he might not score. Just kidding.

But, uh, when he crossed the plate, it was just pure excitement.

I'm gonna remember the, uh, the slider take with two strikes after fouling back 103 or whatever it was. Um, I think after that, I was pretty sure that he was gonna do something special.

Um, you don't see guys take pitches like that very often.

And then, um, just the confidence you could tell he had in the box was, uh, uh, for lack of better words, it, it was pretty inspiring.
