Critique of Political Leadership and AI Impact
I had seriously thought that a vote for Mark Carney would keep us from slamming into a wall
at 100 kilometers an hour. I thought that Pierre Polyev would gut all of our public services and
sell everything off to private investors and here we have Mark Carney doing exactly that.
Only no one's enraged about it because the boomers and the Gen X all look at Mark Carney and see
that affable middle manager that everybody really gets along with and that they can
bitch to about, you know, what the higher-ups do. The problem is Mark Carney is the middle manager
who lets you bitch to him then goes straight to HR and fucks you right over.
At least if Polyev had won, most of you would be enraged about what's going on.
Instead you're complacent and complicit.
He wants to sell off our ports and our airports to private investors and
the speed at which we're suddenly moving ahead with AI data centers is interesting,
especially combined with the knowledge that most environmental regulations have now been
completely steamrolled in the interest of, you know, permitting projects faster.
There are a lot of citizens in U.S. states that are struggling to get water to their homes
because of AI data centers and because of decisions made on levels above their county.
Are we going to let that happen here? The truth is a lot of you have no clue what's coming.
You're very under-informed and by the time it shows up and it's actually impacting your life
it'll be too late. Unfortunately you humans don't seem to learn
until it hurts and right now for the majority it's not hurting enough so we're going to hit that wall
and we're going to hit it at 100 kilometers an hour. Only most of you will never see it coming.
