Comparison of Catholic and Protestant Worship
One of the biggest things that I have noticed since I became
Catholic in the way
that we worship is that in the Protestant church,
all of the focus is
on the Bible, on the Word of God.
Everything, literally everything, centers around the Word.
Everything you do, everything you say, anything you believe has
to be in that book.
In Catholicism, everything centers around
Jesus. From the moment you walk into Mass, from the
readings to the homily to the Eucharist, it is all
pointed and focused on Christ and Christ alone
because His sacrifice, what He did, is all that matters.
It's not about a pastor. It's not about how good his TED Talk is.
It's not about the worship team, how good they play or sing.
It's not about the smoke show, the light show.
It's not about making you feel good when you leave the building.
It is all about Christ.
Come to Mass and see what I mean.
